My Dear Brother,
It is very difficult to determine suddenly whether a person is or is not renewed. If sister Hatton is, it will appear more and more clearly. If she is not, let her earnestly and patiently wait for it. I wrote to sister Ruth Hall and hope she will find time to send me an answer.
The books you will, I suppose, receive shortly, if you have not already. Thomas Tobias is a serious man and will not do the work of the Lord deceitfully. If you see good, let brother Gibbs go at any time into Lincolnshire, and John Hacking
I believe another preacher will come from London, but Thomas Mitchell cannot yet be spared from these parts. There has never been any preaching in this county before, and now the kingdom of God is come upon them unawares.
