1JW started this letter on a half sheet, probably to Thomas Brisco, who was assisting him this year. But it was not completed and the sheet was bound into a notebook for JW's copy letters, where a copy of the letter of Sarah Ryan to JW on Nov. 12, 1758 is transcribed over it.

Dear Tommy,

I hope you will set out for Wednesbury on Monday. But from thence I would not have [left unfinished].
